Retrospective of Habbouli’s work at the Villas des Arts Rabat and Casablanca

 Al Mada Foundation is inviting the general public to a magnificent retrospective of the artist Bouchaib Habbouli’s work. The exhibition is to be discovered from October 27, 2020, to January 15, 2021, at the Villas des Arts in Rabat and Casablanca.

Bouchaîb Habbouli lives and works in Azemmour where he was born in 1945. The painter of “Figures” is a self-taught artist. The taste for drawing and color led him to follow, after independence, an arts animator training, provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. From 1957 to 1963, he had to attend the workshops of La Mamora, in Rabat and at the same time supervised the children, who regularly occupied the space of the youth center in his native town.

He followed basic training in art and devoted himself to teaching without stopping his deep arts research, moreover, Bouchaib Habbouli asserts himself with the identity of his graphic expression. Over the years, the artist’s achievements show great abilities.

To his credit, are several individual and collective exhibitions and in particular inter-Arab and Mediterranean meetings. His work of “Oiseaux” (Birds) is roaming in Morocco and internationally.

Visits are carried out in accordance with health security measures.
