Insurance for students at private educational institutions is subject to a number of regulations, the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research said. In a note addressed, Wednesday, September 2, to the directors of private educational establishments, the Department stressed that the insurance of students in these establishments is subject to regulations, on the basis of the provisions of article 10 of the law. n ° 06.00.
In this sense, the ministry affirmed that the managers of private educational establishments must insure all registered students against school accidents to which they could be exposed inside their establishments, noting that parents of students must be informed of the insurance contract clauses. By virtue of these regulations, the note specifies, each student must be provided with individual insurance valid throughout the school year and given to the parents or the student’s guardian a payment receipt which clearly includes the amount paid for the school insurance and a copy of the insurance contract which includes the nature of the services from which the pupil benefits.
