 Princess Lalla Salma presides a tribute to the memory of artist Amine Demnati

Princess Lalla Salma presided on Tuesday evening at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) in Rabat, a tribute to the memory of the artist Mohamed Amine Demnati.

During this ceremony held on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of Mohamed Amine Demnat’s death and the publication of the book, « Amine Demnati, vingt-neuf printemps, un été » by Maurice Arama, SAR Lalla Salma visited the exhibition of some works of the late artist before heading to the auditorium.

This ceremony was marked by words of the president of the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco, Mehdi Qotbi, the painter, historian and art critic, Maurice Arama, and the brother of the late Hassan Amine Demnati, who paid close tribute to the deceased whose work reflects his intelligence, sensitivity, keen curiosity and love for life. The ceremony was also marked by the screening of a film retracing the life of the late.

Born in Marrakesh on January 15, 1942, Amine Demnati was introduced to the art of the stage as both an actor and a decorator, and his works were praised by the feathers of Gaston Diehl, Kamal Zebdi, Ahmed Sefrioui and Jean Bouret among other.
