After the visit of the Yves Saint Laurent Museum by the national and international press, the official inauguration of the prestigious building took place on Saturday in a ceremony presided over by HRH Princess Lalla Salma.
At the main entrance of the museum, Princess Lalla Salma cut the inaugural ribbon and was greeted by the guests of honor before posing for a souvenir photo. Her Royal Highness then visited the temporary exhibition of “Jacques Majorelle et le Maroc”, the Yves Saint Laurent permanent exhibition room, the shop, the photo gallery and the private library of Fr. Pierre Bergé. She also visited the Auditorium Pierre Bergé, where she was greeted by the violinist Renaud Capuçon, before posing for another photo souvenir.
Furthermore, the museum opens three weeks after the opening of Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris, in the former couture house, 5 avenue Marceau. These two new museums are aimed at fashion and art enthusiasts, but also for a wider audience who want to discover the work of Yves Saint Laurent.
