In a special address, the President of the Diplomatic Circle and wife of the Hungarian Ambassador in Rabat, Szilvia Tomler Visihanyo expressed her thanks to Princess Lalla Meryem for her great support for the social projects that the Diplomatic Circle is undertaking.
She also expressed her deep gratitude to Her Royal Highness for this invaluable help in supporting disadvantaged women and children, noting that the Bazaar is made up of a large number of countries, organizations and associations representing different cultures, histories and religions, working for one cause: helping poor women and children.
The 2017 edition of the Diplomatic Bazaar was marked by a preview presentation to Princess Lalla Meryem of the “International Children’s Circle”, which has about 40 children between the ages of 8 and 16 years old. These children are gathered around a spirit of solidarity to share ideas to contribute to charitable projects during their stay in Morocco.
The Charity Bazaar is an annual occasion organized by the Diplomatic Circle in Morocco to celebrate friendship and solidarity and is an important way to support Moroccan NGOs working in the fields of education, health and women’s development in rural areas.
More than 30 countries participated in this edition through their embassies with a wide variety of products with the the Moroccan club of ambassadors’ spouses and the diplomatic foundation as guests of honors. They have been gathering together for 30 years, around a common aim: helping the most vulnerable and the most deprived, while cultivating the values of fraternity, solidarity and generosity in a climate of mutual understanding and respect between cultures and religions.
