Prawns with pepper and basil jam

Are you up for a little temptation?  try this succulent recipe, spiced up with prawns with basil and chili.


–  500 g of prawns
–  1/2 clove of garlic
–  2 kaffir lemon leaves
–  1/2 red pepper
–  1 handful of green pepper
–  1 good handful of basil
–  2 tablespoons of oil
–  3 tablespoons chili jam
–  2 tablespoons of fried garlic
–  6 tablespoons of fish sauce
–  3 tablespoons of palm or brown sugar


Shell the prawns. Peel and chop the garlic cloves. Chop the kaffir lemon leaves. Core and finely chop the pepper. Heat the oil over medium heat before adding the prawns, green pepper, and 2 tablespoons of water.

Sauté for about 5 minutes until the prawns turn pink. Add the chopped garlic, the kaffir lemon leaves, and the chili jam and cook for about 3 min. Add the fish sauce and the sugar. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and leave for about 3 minutes. Add the basil leaves, the small diced chili peppers, and the fried garlic. Cook the prawns until they are soaked in the sauce.
Serve immediately.
