Pictures: L’Boulevard 2017 promisses a memorable edition

In its 17th edition, and after one year of absence, L’boulevard festival returns from 15 to 24 September 2017 to the Al Amal complex and the RUC stadium in Casablanca.

With Keziah Jones headlining and an array of artists on the program, L’Boulevard promises an unforgettable edition this year.

As usual, L’Boulevard will kick off  with a new artists’ stepping stone competition, which will take place from September 15 to 17, during which 19 hip hop, rock / metal and fusion groups will perform on the stage of the Al Amal complex. Six of them, two by category will be rewarded by the jury.

First place winners will be granted an amount of 10,000 dirhams, while the second place 5,000 dirhams. Also each winning group will get the chance to record two tracks as well as a training conducted by professional musicians.

The winners will also be able to play the first part of the confirmed groups – local and international such as Keziah Jones, MOP, Dagoba, Oum or Masta Flow. Nocturnal concerts will punctuate the competition with, among others, the Algerian-Quebecois group Labess, the Dutch rapper Nanah Dae or the Casablanca Lferda.

Another stage will be set up at the Al Amal Complex, the Souk complex, which will bring together thirty booths and collectives, while hosting jam sessions, as well as Kabareh Cheikhats and General Rest in Peace rock’s music performances.
