Oujda hosts the third edition of the Maghreb Book Fair “Lettres du Maghreb”

From 09 to 13 October 2019, Oujda hosts the third edition of “Lettres du Maghreb” Maghreb book fair. This edition plans to welcome more than 160 authors and 30 publishers (Moroccan, Arabic, French, Chinese …).

Under the theme of “Transmission”, the kick-off will be given from the Mohamed VI Theater on Wednesday, October 9th at 17h, where the Moroccan Ministers of Culture and Communication, the National Education of Vocational Training and Higher Education and Scientific Research will be invited, the Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad and Migration Affairs, the Minister of Arts and Culture of Cameroon – guest country of honor with the participation of the Wilaya of the Oriental, the Council of the Region as well as the Moroccan private publishing sector more particularly the Morocco’s Professional Union of Publishers .

Designed and organized since 2017 by the Oriental Agency in close coordination with its partners, with the support of an experienced and respected scientific committee in the field of literature and publishing, the event is now considered as the inevitable cultural meeting to be absolutely included in the agendas of men of letters, intellectuals, thinkers, artists and publishers from here and elsewhere, but also the general public, women and men, whom the organizers wish to see flock more over the years.

Youth and childhood will also be at the heart of the fair, thanks to a dedicated program both rich and participatory, which will seduce them through various workshops, debates, reading, music, drawings …
