The ONMT’s “Morocco, Land of Light” campaign receives an award in Madrid

The Spanish reference daily “La Razon” yesterday in Madrid honored the ONMT’s “Morocco, Land of Light” campaign as the best international advertising campaign. The prize was awarded to Adel El Fakir, CEO of the ONMT in the presence of Her Excellency Mrs. Karima Benyaich, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Spain.

New consecration for the Moroccan National Tourist Office, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Madrid. The institution received the Best International Campaign Award for “Morocco, Land of Light”. A distinction that puts Morocco in the spotlight of one of the most influential media in Spain.

The ceremony was enhanced by the presence of Her Excellency Mrs. Karima Benyaich, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain who did not fail to honor this distinction made in Morocco. Adel El Fakir noted for his part: “We are honored to receive this award. This is a great consecration for our country, for Morocco as a destination, and for all Moroccan tourism professionals who work tirelessly to ensure that the destination continues to shine throughout the world. »

Moroccan tourism operators were also present at this ceremony. These include Hamid Bentahar, President of the CNT, Mr. Lahcen Zelmat, President of the National Federation of the Hotel Industry, and Mr. Mohammed Semlali, President of the National Federation of Travel Agencies.

A reference newspaper in Spain, La Razon awarded this distinction to this campaign for its innovative character, breaking with traditional communication codes. A campaign where contemporary Moroccan artists were honored.

Remember that the campaign was launched last April by the ONMT simultaneously in more than 20 countries, in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa, which constitutes a historical precedent.
