ONDE holds Iftar in honor of former parliamentary children

On the occasion of National Day of Child’s Rights, the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child (ONDE), chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, organized a Ftour in honor of the former Parliamentary Children at Four Season Casablanca.

This meeting was an opportunity to restructure the CAPE (club of elders of the parliament of the child) by setting up representations and relays in all regions of the kingdom.

This gathering, which confirms the commitment of all actors to the cause of childhood was marked by strong testimonies. According to Ms. Lamia Bazir, Executive Director of ONDE: “The celebration of the alumni of the Parliament of the Child on National Day of Child’s Rights today only confirms the paramount importance of the right to participation (…) as a vehicle for the child to participate in decision-making, to express his opinion, to forge his personality and above all decision-making on policies and programs targeting our country’s children.”

This event was marked by the presence of several eminent personalities, including Mr. Ahmed Chawki Benyoub, Interministerial Delegate for Human Rights, guest of honor of the evening, as well as the Moroccan artist, the sweet voice, Nabila Maan. An artist who enjoys the highest public esteem for her human qualities and artistic talent and whose fame transcends borders.
