ONDE celebrates 30 years of the International Convention on Children’s rights

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the International Convention on Children’s rights, the National Observatory for the Children’s rights (ONDE) is organizing, from November 20 to 23 in Marrakech, the 16th edition of the National Congress of Children’s rights.

30 years! The International Convention on Children’s rights turns 30, the opportunity for the National Observatory for  Children’s rights (ONDE) to organize, from November 20 to 23 in Marrakech, the 16th edition of the National Congress on Children’s rights and to take stock of the situation of children in Morocco.

More than 3,000 participants are expected including members of the government, public officials, UN officials, representatives of civil society and the private sector and children including our young parliamentarians who will also celebrate the 20 years of Parliament of the Child.

This edition is part of a new dynamic instilled by ONDE, to catalyze the future actions of senior officials and experts on the issue of childhood at national and African levels, as indicated by WAVE chaired by Princess Lalla Meryem. Thus, the conclusions and the commitments made in Marrakech will constitute a new integrated roadmap, as ONDE warned.
