Imagine 2026 initiative selected ten projects to promote Morocco’s strenghts and support its application to host the Football World Cup in 2026. Among the winners was Nouha Bazir with a video that breaks prejudices and other stereotypes around football and women!

Nouha Bazir was named winner among nine others at Imagine 2026 initiative , launched by Moulay Hafid Elalamy the president of Morocco’s bid committee to host the 2026 World Cup against the United States.

This young woman from El Jadida is a football fan. A passion she gained from her father. Nouha played football with Difaa El Hassani, while pursuing, her studies at Al Akhawayn University where she obtained her Bachelor degree in Art and Communication Studies / Media Production.

For her documentary project for the Imagine 2026 initiative, Nouha Bazir tells the story of three women passionate about football (two Moroccan and one Senegalese). Her video called “Kwayriyate” is actually a plea to break stereotypes so that women and girls can access the most popular sport in the country. The message behind is strong: in Morocco football is now more than just a sport but a real social lift that allows many women today to gain confidence and to be respected. The story of these girls is the story of hundreds of others who dream of living a new dream: attending a World Cup organized in Morocco.
