“I am honored and privileged to join and support humanitarian access and the protection of civilians in #Syria,” Najat Rochdi, also PhD student in mathematics and computer engineer, told his Twitter account. She succeeds Norway’s Jan Egeland who is also pleased with the name of the woman who will take up the baton: “I am very happy to see the competent Najat Rochdi succeed me as Chair of the Humanitarian Task Force for Syria”.
