Screenings, debates, meetings, round table, masterclass, scenario reading, film-concert … Children, teenagers, adults and moviegoers, all audiences are invited to share cinema highlights on September 27th, 28th, and 29th.
Mouna Fettou, to whom this edition pays tribute, made her debut by joining the National Mohammed V Theater Professional Theater Workshop from 1988 to 1990. She has appeared in numerous films in Moroccan cinema and television, notably for Saâd Chraïbi, as well as in plays in Morocco. She made a name for herself in France with the subtle role of Mina alongside Sandrine Bonnaire in Take Off by Gaël Morel, released in 2017.
The public of Marrakech and elsewhere will also be able to discover:
A panorama of Maghreb cinema including several recent successes of Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian cinemas and which will allow, in the presence of filmmakers and actors, to draw a cinécartographie of this region of the world where many similar sensitivities intersect.
A round table around which professionals (producers, directors, actors, casting directors …) are invited to discuss the issues of training and casting of actresses and actors for Moroccan cinema.
A public reading, by ISADAC laureates, Maghreb short film scripts selected as part of a contest launched in partnership with TV5 Monde and many more activities…
As a reminder, for a second edition of the Marrakech cinema party, the Colisée cinema, the School of Visual Arts of Marrakech, the French Institute of Marrakech and the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort are joined by the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakesh.
