Morocco’s Rabab Arafi ranks 9th in the 1,500m women’s race at the World Athletics Championships

After a great run, the Moroccan athlete Rabab Arafi finished 9th in the 1,500m women’s final at the World Athletics Championships held until October 6th in Doha, Qatar.

Morocco’s Rabab Arafi crossed the finish line in 9th place in the women’s 1500m final on Saturday (October 5th) at the World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar. She finished with a time of 3’59”93.

The winner, Dutchwoman Sifan Hassan, won the race with a time of 3’51”95. So far, the 28-year-old Khouribga native was on a roll. Indeed, Thursday, October 3, she had played, alongside another Moroccan, Malika Akkaoui, in the semifinal, but only Rabab Arafi had managed to qualify. While Malika Akkaoui had completed her race with a time of 4’16”83, Rabab Arafi finished 3rd in her group with a time of 4’14”94, coming second to the world champion of the 10,000, the famous Dutch Sifan Hassan.
