Morocco wins eight awards at the International Exhibition of Inventions

Moroccan technology has scored eight awards during the INPEX International Exhibition of Inventions, held in Pittsburgh, USA from June 13 to 15. 18 countries participated in the competition.

Morocco, the only Arab and African country to take part in INPEX, won two gold medals, four medals of merit and two other awards from Romania. All the inventions praised and awarded at the exhibition were designed by Moroccan professors and students who study and teach at national public institutions.

The first Moroccan gold medal was won in the category « Telecommunications ». It is a « 3G, 4G, 5G reconfigurable antenna of mobile communication and IoT applications », invented by Dr Younes Karfa Bekali and Professor Mohamed Essaaidi, from the National School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis (ENSIAS).

The second gold medal was awarded in the category « Alternative Energies » for the invention « Solardo » of Dr. Laila Sedki and Professor Mohammed Maaroufi of the Mohammadia School of Engineers (EMI).

Majid El Bouazzaoui, Malika Zazi, Youssef Barradi and Abderrahim Abarhich and El Hamdouchi Haajar are among the other award-winning inventors.
