16 medals for Morocco at the African Taekwondo Championship! Moroccan athletes won eight gold, three silver, and five bronze medals, finishing first in this competition.
The gold was won by Fatima Zahra Aboufaras (+73 kg), Sanaa Bayza (-67 kg), Safia Salah (-62 kg), Nada Laaraj (-57 kg), Oumaïma Bouchti (-53 kg ), Nezha Lasal (-49 kg) and Soukaïna Saheb (-46 kg) as well as by Abdelbasset Ouasfi in the -63 kg category.
Silver went to Dounia Saber in the -73 kg category, to Omar Lakhal in the -58 kg category, and to Hamza Hicham in the -54 kg category. Bronze was won by Ayoub El Basel (+87 kg), Soufiane El Asbi (-87 kg), Youssef Bouatriss (-80 kg), Ayoub Yakini (-74 kg) and Fayçal Saïdi (-68 kg).
