Roughly 150 Moroccans stranded in Egypt after the closure of the borders due to the Covid-19 pandemic were repatriated on Thursday, July 2 from Cairo airport to Beni Mellal.

The repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad due to the border closures caused by the Covid-19 pandemic continues.

Nearly 150 Moroccans stranded in Egypt were thus repatriated in the direction of Beni Mellal. Among the passengers are elderly, women, and infants, as indicated by the Moroccan ambassador in Cairo, Ahmed Tazi, specifying that the people chose to benefit from this humanitarian initiative meet the criteria set by the consular services.
