Moroccan Sanae El Mansouri finished second in the international marathon of Fez

Morocco’s Sanae El Mansouri won second place at The second edition of Fes international marathon on January 6 losing to Ethiopia’s Gelane Bulbula Senbete. On the men’s side, the Moroccan athlete Taher Belkorchi crossed the finish line first.

Gelane Bulbula Senbete finished the 42km race in 2H 35mn 52sec followed by Moroccan Sanae El Mansouri (2h 37mn 28sec) and another Ethiopian, namely Askal Tena Hurisa (2H 40mn 20). On the men’s side, for instance, it was the Moroccan Taher Belkorchi who won this edition with a time of 2h18mn59sec followed by the Ethiopians Zarehun Hile and Tilahun Eshen Taye.

In addition to the 42 km course, the Elite Running Club association has concocted a 10 km race and a half marathon organized under the supervision of the Fez-Meknes Wilaya and in partnership with the region of Fès-Meknes and the Fez commune.

The day before, the Fez Kids marathon brought together more than 1,000 children to participate in a beautiful race at Parc Champ.
