Meryem Habibi, former director of operations for the ATM and financial software giant at Diebold Nixdorf, has just been appointed Chief Revenue Officer at AZA, Africa’s largest non-bank currency broker.
After serving as COO of U.S. bank and retail banking and software supplier Diebold Nixdorf in the EMEA and APA regions, and leading marketing and communications operations at Samsung Electronics, the Moroccan Meryem Habibi will monitor the growth of revenues linked to sales, but also the operations of strategic partnerships and global marketing.
The appointment of Meryem Habibi, an experienced leader in finance and technological innovation, comes in light of a major expansion of the company’s operations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
“AZA offers several inter-regional business opportunities in border markets by tackling inefficiencies that companies generally consider insurmountable,” said Meryem Habibi who has just moved from Casablanca to London to take on her new role.
As a reminder, Business Insider has ranked AZA among the most important financial technology providers in the world.
