Moroccan government calls for voluntary isolation

Written by FDM

The measures taken by the government aiming at dismantling all social gatherings by the closure of schools, universities, cafes, and restaurants… have gradually led to a call for voluntary isolation.

A joint press release from the Ministries of the Interior and of Health calls on Moroccan citizens to limit their movements and to comply with “social-isolation” in their homes as a preventive measure necessary to limit the spread of this virus. Trips to public places will be conditioned by the absolute necessity of shopping, seeking medical care and going to work.

Local authorities and public forces, national security and royal gendarmerie, will guide citizens to respect the implementation of these measures taken in the general interest of the Moroccan people, the statement said.
