Ever since his interview with Telquel.ma , the 30 years-old DJ has been the talk of the town in Morocco. Originally from Marrakech, he was born and raised in the Netherlands. El Ghoul, a.k.a R3hab, has won the IDMA Best Breakthrough Artist Award in Miami five years ago, and now ranks 21st in the top 100 DJ Mag 2016.
With more than 200 million readings on Soundcloud and 600 million views on YouTube, he has become one of the most sought after Djs by stars, like Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Taylor Swift, Pitbull and Bruno Mars.
Between remixes of international hits and DJ sets at major festivals, R3hab is ever so present on the global electronic scene. Tomorrow Land , Coachella , and Summerburst all count as his previous stages. However, the artist has still not enchanted the Moroccan audience, including that of the prestigious festival of Mawazine in Rabat.
“I think it’s a matter of time. I am still improving in music, I travel and I mix in different countries and I would like to give my Moroccan fans the best of myself and my music. I hope to participate in the Mawazine Festival in 2018 ,” he explained to ledialy.ma.
