Moroccan Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi singing debut with Fnair

Moroccan Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi is making her debut as a singer in collaboration with Moroccan band Fnair.

The Canadian-Moroccan singer has collaborated with the group Fnaire to re-create the official Arabic adaptation of “Dilbar”. Nora has already started her dance rehearsals with the band and choreographer Caesar. “Dilbar” from John Abraham’s film “Satyameva Jayate” is the new version of the 1999 track “Dilbar”.

In an interview with WK TV, the 26 year-old Moroccan performer made it clear that one of her concerns is her voice as she never sang before. However her goal for the long run goes beyond adding “singer” to her list of talents, but rather to bring the Indian culture and Moroccan culture together artistically and musically.

“As Dilbar has become a huge hit internationally, including in the Middle East, we have taken the song and re-composed it, written Arabic and Moroccan lyrics and recorded me singing with Fnaire. This is my debut as a singer, and Fnaire will be rapping with me in the song,” she said.

Born in Canada to Moroccan parents, Nora Fatehi moved to India at the age of 22 to pursue a career in acting and performing. She first gained popularity for her participation in the 9th season of the “Big Boss” reality television show in 2015.
