Moroccan actress Zhour Maamri died Tuesday evening in Rabat at the age of 78 following a long illness, we learned from her family.
Born in 1942 in Meknes, the deceased was one of the icons of Moroccan theater and a talented actress who achieved great success in the “Maamora” band.
She has proved herself on the artistic scene since the sixties with her participation in several dramatic and cinematographic works, such as the American film “black heel”, the masterpiece of the Syrian director Mustafa Akkad “Arrissala” the Spanish film “Un burka por amor”, thus leaving behind a rich artistic legacy.
