Police arrested the actress after she threw several birthday parties without adhering to the restrictive measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Dubai.
Hussein also shared videos from her parties, showing many mask-less guests not respecting social distancing measures despite the recent increase in Covid-19 cases.
Indeed, the United Arab Emirates has to date more than 84,916 cases, including 74,273 recoveries and 4,040 deaths.
This is not the first time that Mariam Hussein has faced arrest in the UAE. Video footage from a New Year’s Eve party in 2018 showed Hussein dancing “provocatively” with American rapper Tyga, which resulted in a filed complaint by journalist Saleh Al Jasmi. Police then arrested Mariam Hussein in early 2018 who was sentenced to two months in prison.
