Moga Festival returns from October 11 to 13 in Essaouira

Written by FDM

MOGA festival of music and electronic cultures returns to Essaouira for its third edition on October 11th, 12th and 13th.

Festival-goers will be invited to live a timeless experience, an unprecedented trip in the old “Mogador”, punctuated by strong moments, a link between traditional and electronic cultures.

The Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf and Spa, as well as various places of the city, will welcome the avant-garde of the international and Moroccan scene.

Over the course of a long weekend, the intoxicating air of MOGA festival is expected to inflate that of the ‘City of the Wind’. Essaouira will dance to the rhythms of a wave of hedonistic electronic music, nicknamed the “desert house” or “hippie house”, mixing oriental and exotic sounds with the deep and hypnotic tempo of the club music.

A true trademark of MOGA Festival since its creation, this year again the festival will propose an original creation, mixing electronic sounds and traditional Moroccan music. Headliners include the great German collective Feathered Sun composed of Berliners Chris Schwarzwalder, Raz Ohara, Jo.Ke and Rico Loop, who will propose a live event, supposedly, mystical. The Muscovite duo Geju will relay their slow spiritual chill house, while the Canadian: ish will bring joy and spirituality through performances and solo recordings.

The Moroccan scene, meanwhile, will not be left out and will be represented by Dj Daox, Mr. ID, Achil, Noritsu, Amine K or Nomads … The organizers announce, by the way, many Back to Back sessions between Moroccan artists with Daox b2b Ibellini Bottom, Driss Skali Chaim b2b, Amine K b2b SABO.
