A symbolic action is carried out jointly by the Nordic Ambassadors in Rabat and the Representative of the UNFPA who will accompany in a walk Meryem Belkihel and the young girls of the Fraternité Association. The goal is to promote gender equality and encourage the empowerment of young girls.

On Saturday, November 14, Meryem Belkihel (who has hundreds of kilometers of cycling to her credit) will hit the road by bicycle from Casablanca to Rabat where she will join the Nordic Ambassadors, the Representative of the UNFPA, and the young girls of the Fraternité Association at Place de la scène OLM-Souissi, in front of the Sofitel Palais des Roses, at 2:00 p.m.

The convoy will then proceed to the Residence of the Danish Ambassador, Nikolaj Harris. This initiative, which aims to promote gender equality and encourage the empowerment of young girls, is organized on the sidelines of the celebrations of the International Day of the Girl.

This symbolic action also aims to highlight the benefits of cycling on health, to encourage the authorities to develop safer infrastructure for cycling, as this will have a positive impact on the environment, and finally, to encourage citizens to use an economical and simple means of transportation.
