According to Guinness World Records, the Sussex Instagram account officially broke a record by reaching a million subscribers the fastest, surpassing K-pop star Kang Daniel and Pope Francis, the two previous holders of the title. The couple already amassed a million followers in less than six hours after activating the account.
The rest of the British Royal Family have taken it upon themselves to promote the new account. Almost simultaneously, each member of the Family welcomed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their respective accounts: William and Kate Middleton on behalf of Kensington, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles on that of Clarence House, Prince Andrew or his daughter, Princess Eugenie, who simply wrote: ” Welcome cousins. ”
