MBC’s The Voice: Moroccan Issam Sarhane in the finale!

Moroccan candidate Issam Serhane has secured his place on May 5 for MBC’s The Voice’s final round thanks to the public vote, eliminating the Algerian Houssine Ben Haj.

The rising artist has performed Oum Kaltoum’s sublime song “Bi Ridak”, one of the most difficult songs by Egyptian diva in front of a subdued audience. Singer Mohamed Hamaki, a member of the jury, was quick to join him on stage to hug him and congratulate him for his performance. Another jury member, Ahlam for her part said Issam is the “best candidate” in the show’s history.

The jury includes Lebanese diva Elissa, legendary Lebanese singer Assi El Helani and renowned Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki. The Moroccan star is representing Hamaki’s team.

Earlier this year, Moroccan Hamza Labyed and won the title of “The Voice Kids”. In 2012, Moroccan Morad Bouriki won the Voice title following his outstanding performances throughout the competition.
