Mawazine: Memorable night with performances by Black Eyed Peas, Elissa, Julien Clerc, and Alba Molina

Tuesday, June 25 was a lit night at the 18th edition of the Mawazine-Rhythms of the World Festival. with performances by Elissa, Black Eyed Peas  Julien Clerc and more.


Each of the festival’s stages held memorable acts starting with the legendary Hip-Hop group Black Eyed Peas who performed for the first time in Morocco on June 25th, 2019.  The trio made sure to deliver a dynamic show thanks to their oldest hits but also their latest song “Be Nice”,  which they sang exclusively to the Moroccan public. A song in collaboration with Snoop Dog, carrying a message of peace.

Meanwhile, thunderous applause echoed from the Nahda stage where the Lebanese singer Elissa has captivated the public, and this, from the first notes. Dressed in an elegant white dress, the famous Lebanese artist came on stage singing her song “Wahashtouni”, followed up by her hits like “Ikrahni”, “Nafssi aqoul lah”, “El farha di”, “Aicha lak And Akss eli chayfinha.

As for the Mohammed V National Theater, saw the mesmerizing performance by Julien Clerc, the 60s French star who’s still at the top of the bill. As soon as he appeared on stage with his usual broad smile, the charm took over the audience which they returned with an endless standing ovation.

At the historic Chellah site, the warmly welcomed Spanish singer Alba Molina delivered an exceptional concert bringing the audience to a musical adventure highlighting flamenco and gypsies music.
