French legend and singer Charles Aznavour died at the age of 94, his press officers announced to the AFP on Monday October 1st.

According to the AFP, Charles Aznavour, the last of the legends of the French song, died in his sleep at his home in the Alpilles, in the south of France .

In recent weeks, the relentless Charles Aznavour, born Shahnourh Varinag Aznavourian May 22, 1924 in Paris of Armenian parents, had to cancel some concerts. First in April in St. Petersburg, due to kidneys condition. Then in May, due to a fracture of the left humerus, after a fall.

“I’m not old, I’m advanced in age, it’s not the same,” he used to joke. A playful way of defying the weight of years for the one whose artistic accession came quite late at the age of 33.

With songs such as Emmenez-moi, Je Me Voyais Déjà or La Bohème , the eternal French-Armenian singer has gone through generations. To the point of receiving, finally, in 2017, his star on the Hollywood”Walk of Fame” (in the category “Live performance”) after more than seventy years of career and forty years of success.
