It is an unexpected musical that the French Institute of Rabat proposes, on March 5: the musical piece “L’Autre Proust “. On stage, the actress Farida Rahouadj known in cinema, television, and theater, who has played in particular “Les Côtelettes” by Bertrand Blier, alongside Philippe Noiret.
In this piece, she performs the work of Marcel Proust with her own twist by borrowing some excerpts from “La Recherche”, the famous text on La Madeleine, ” La Prisonnière ” as well as extracts from “Les plaisirs et les Jours”. Accompanied by the pianist Vincent Leterme, the actress also plays light cabaret songs such as the title “Elle vendait des p’tits gâteaux” by Vincent Scotto, created by Mayol, that Proust adored, according to the French Institute of Rabat.
