Lalla Hasnaa inaugurates “Les couleurs de l’impressionnisme” exhibition at the Mohammed VI Museum

Written by FDM

On April 9, Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired the inauguration of the exhibition ” Les couleurs de l’impressionnisme” at the Mohammed VI Museum in Rabat.

This large-scale event, which runs from April 09 to August 31, 2019, is the first impressionist exhibition to cross the shores of the Mediterranean. Through a series of rooms each dedicated to a particular color, this cultural event, organized at the initiative of the National Museums Foundation (FNM) with the scientific collaboration and exceptional loans of the Musée d’Orsay collection, highlights how the lightening of palette, the work on the luminous vibration, was not only an issue from the beginning for Impressionists, but also how this research evolved over time, over the careers and questions specific to each artist.

On this occasion, Princess Lalla Hasnaa attended a presentation of the works by Ms. Sabine Cazenave, co-curator of the exhibition and curator of painting at the Musée d’Orsay and Mr. Paul Perrin, co-curator of the exhibition and painting curator at the Musée d’Orsay, before touring through the different parts of this exhibition.
