Lalla Hasnaa chairs the opening of the International Book Fair in Casablanca

HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired yesterday Thursday in Casablanca, the kick-off of the 26th edition of the International Edition and Book Fair (SIEL), held under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

During her visit, Lalla Hasnaa notably visited the stand of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, guest of honor of this edition, that of the Development Agency of the Southern provinces, the Ministry of Justice, the Institution the Kingdom Mediator, the Presidency of the Public Ministry, Bayt Mal Al-Quds, and the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Princess Lalla Hasnaa also visited the stands of the Cervantes Institute, the French Institute, the United States, People and Tangel Publishing House (China), the cultural annex of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Council of the Moroccan community abroad, the National Council for Human Rights, the Hassan II University of Casablanca, publishing houses “Edit Consulting”, specializing in children’s books and Crossroads.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, this 26th edition of SIEL continues until February 16, with the participation of 703 exhibitors, including 267 direct and 436 indirect, from Morocco, Africa, from Europe, Asia, and America, who will present a rich and varied documentary background, covering several fields of knowledge, with more than 100,000 works.
