Before seeking asylum in France, the 29-year-old model, from Tehran, was threatened with imprisonment and lashing for posing in naked photos. The young woman had gone to Paris where she faced many hardships sleeping in the streets. Her story was featured in Le Parisien.
This Sunday, June 2, the Minister of the Interior announced on Twitter that Negzzia’s application has been accepted. “The asylum will naturally be proposed to her. Ofpra confirmed it to me”, said the tenant of the place Beauvau. He also ensures that the services of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons are in contact with the young woman and that her case is studied with “the kind attention due to her situation”.

Monsieur le Ministre, Je tiens à vous remercier du fond du coeur pour votre soutien. Votre message m’a beaucoup ému. 🇫🇷
The model was quick to respond to the good news on her Instagram account, thanking the Minister “from the bottom of her heart”. “France is a wonderful country that I love and, like all Iranian artists, I feel so close to. It is an immense pleasure to finally be able to look at the future with more serenity. Thank you again, I will honor this hand that your country gives me,” she added.
