Indeed, on Wednesday, January 27, the said initiative, with the sponsorship of Ahmed Reda Chami, president of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, delivered to the winners the training diploma which crowns an unprecedented circuit of 60 young Moroccans in NEET’s situation in vocational and sports training.
“We are delighted with the results of the beneficiaries of the first African promotion of the Intilaqa Initiative program who, despite the difficult context, demonstrated inspiring resilience and clung to their ultimate goal of making their passions their jobs,” declared, during the graduation ceremony, Mohamed Amine Zariat, Ashoka Fellow and president of the organization TIBU Maroc, leader in the field of social innovation through sport. I am also delighted that this first promotion is sponsored by Mr. Ahmed Reda Chami who has believed in the project since its start in October 2019. ”
The support of Ahmed Reda Chami reveals a strong conviction of the EESC as to the place of sport as a real means of economic development, as TIBU Maroc highlighted in a press release, adding that this merger between TIBU Morocco and the CESE, as well as its president, confirms the capacity of the organization to design and set up structuring projects with high impact, which converge with national policies in terms of empowerment and integration of young people.
