In Cannes, French-Lebanese actress Manal Issa shows support for Gaza

This week, clashes in Gaza have been the deadliest since 2014. In Cannes, during the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival, French-Lebanese actress Manal Issa took the opportunity to condemn the massacre of Palestinians on the sidelines of the American embassy transfer to Jerusalem.

Manal Issa, 26 years old, held a sign on the red carpet that simply says in red: « Stop the attack on Gaza « , before the screening of the film « Solo: A Star Wars Story ». Manal Issa, former engineer student is present in Cannes for the projection of the Syrian film « My favorite fabric » (Mon tissu préféré) of which she is the main actress. The film was screened at « Un certain regard » selection.

In related news, the Israeli army killed 58 Palestinians and wounded thousands in Gaza borders on Monday, May 14, amid protests at US embassy in Jerusalem inaugurated on Sunday by Ivanka Trump.

Manal Issa who has  » Parisienne »  (2015) and « Nocturama » (2016) to her credits, is not the only celebrity to have shown indignation. Palestinian-born Gigi Hadid shared an article in Instagram about the Palestinian massacre.
