This prize will be awarded to Nezha Bidouane on 1 August at the opening ceremony of the 51st IAAF Congress, which will take place in the framework of the world championships in London from 3 to 14 August.
Indeed, Bidouane counts many achievements that led to this recognition. The former athlete was crowned world champion in the 400m hurdles twice, in Athens in 1997 and in Edmonton, Canada in 2001. She also won the silver medal at the Sevilla World Championships in 1999, bronze at the Games Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, and gold in the World Athletics Cup in Johannesburg in 1998.
