Houda Rihani will remember for a long time the 12th edition of the International Women’s Film Festival of Sale (FIFFS). The star of the TV movie Al Bortoukala Al Morra received a tribute surprise.
At the press conference, she said she was “honored and very happy about this tribute (…) and proud to attend this festival dedicated to women’s films”. After talking about her career, Houda Rihani took part in the question-and-answer game on the subject of advancing the role of women in Moroccan cinema. For her, it is important to improve parity in the community by involving more women in film crews and creating films in which women take the lead and embody a strong and powerful character.
Houda Rihani has appeared in numerous movies, series, tele-movies and sitcoms before deciding to return to school and getting a DESS in management of cultural organizations at HEC Montréal. The actress also has numerous awards to her record, including the award for best female performance at the 18th edition of the Tetouan Mediterranean International Film Festival in 2012, the prize for the female interpretation at the Tangier National Film Festival and the special mention of the jury during the cinema and migration festival of Agadir in 2015.
