“Glee” TV star Naya Rivera is missing and believed to have drowned in a “tragic accident” while boating with her young son in a California lake local officials said.

The Ventura County police force tweeted that they were looking for a “possible drowning victim” in the lake and that a team of divers had been deployed to the scene.

Naya Rivera, 33, known for playing the character of Santana Lopez, a student cheerleader in the six seasons of the Glee series, had hired a boat on Wednesday to take her four-year-old son to Lake Piru northwest of Los Angeles, a spokeswoman for the Ventura County police said.

The child was found by a third party on the lake, asleep and “wearing a life jacket,” said Eric Buschow to AFP.
