 Funeral of former Moroccan international footballer Abdelmajid Dolmy

Former Moroccan international footballer Abdelmajid Dolmy died on Thursday July 27th, in Casablanca at the age of 64 years-old following a malaise, according to sources close to the deceased. His funeral took place at the chouhada cemetery in Casablanca this afternoon.

Known as the Mâallem, or even the Maestro, Dolmy is one of those players who have distinguished themselves in the legendary team of Morocco during 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico.  Many national personalities attended his funeral this afternoon.

He was awarded the “Fair Play Prize” by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in October 15, 1992, one year after his career ended.

On social networks, tributes multiplied to honor the memory of the sportsman, the expert for the Moroccan national team and also for the Raja.
