French Montana now officially has his own day

Written by FDM

It’s official: Miami Beach residents in Florida will now be able to celebrate the “French Montana Day” every October 12th.

The announcement was made during the opening day of the fourth annual Revolt Music Conference (RMC), which is currently taking place in Miami from October 12 to 15 with several American singers and rappers, including French Montana, 2 Chainz, Lauryn Hill and Queen Latifah.

The rapper of Moroccan decent, who grew up in the Bronx district of New York, visits the city of Florida very often but certainly did not expect such an honor. During the opening ceremony of the RMC, Philip Levine, the city’s mayor, had a nice surprise.

The mayor initially listed the rapper’s many accomplishments, including his $ 100,000 donation to the Mama Hope Association, which provided Uganda with a health center for ambulances and medical equipment.

The rapper was thrilled, thanking his Bad Boy label boss Diddy and Mayor Levine for the honor.

A number of Hip Hop stars in the US have been honored with their own day this year. October 13th as “Sean Diddy Combs Day.” This year, Diddy was presented with a “100-year coin.” Atlanta declared July 17 as “Killer Mike Day”  for his role as an ambassador for the city and his steadfast work as an activist. Drake and Bun B have also both been honored with their own days in Houston, Texas.
