France: Franco-Moroccan Sarah El Haïry appointed Secretary of State for Youth

Among the newly appointed Secretaries of State in France is Franco-Moroccan Sarah El Haïry to occupy the Secretary of State for Youth.

The Elysee Palace announced on Sunday the appointment of eleven Secretaries of State who complete the new government headed by Jean Castex. These appointments come three weeks after the government’s reshuffle operated by the French head of state.

Thus, the new government team now has 16 ministers, 14 deputy ministers and 12 state secretaries, for a total of 42 members, respecting parity.

The Franco-Moroccan deputy Sarah El Haïry was appointed the secretary of state in charge of youth and engagement. Born on March 16, 1989 in Romorantin-Lanthenay, she is spokesperson for MoDem. She was elected deputy in the fifth constituency of Loire-Atlantique on June 21, 2017.
