Former journalist Najlae Benbarek appointed head of public diplomacy

The Governing Council, meeting Thursday, October 22 in Rabat, approved the appointment of Najlae Benmbarek to the post of Director of Public Diplomacy and Non-State Actors.

Najlae Benmbarek is a graduate of the Higher Institute of Journalism in Rabat, she also holds two masters degrees, one in European affairs from the University of Strasbourg and the second in major reporting, from the University of Berkeley, California.

Ms. Benbarek’s journalistic career started initially in print, followed by a stint at 2M channel where she distinguished herself as a reporter and presenter of the program Grand Angle. Her career in the press has been rewarded with numerous awards, including the International Award for Mediterranean Documentary and Reportage in Marseille, in 2009, as well as two CNN / Multichoice awards for the best report from the African continent.

Thus, and after having managed the communication of the CGEM and the Economic Social and Environmental Council where she was an adviser to Nizar Baraka, Najlae Benbarek held the post of adviser in public diplomacy at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in London.
