The Fan-Dok gallery in Rabat is hosting the exhibition “Fleurs en prose” composed of poems by Rabei Benkiran and pastels by Sandrine Vergnères. An exhibition to discover from March 4.
“Fleurs en prose” is the sweet title of the exhibition hosted by the Fan-Dok gallery in Rabat. It consists of 18 poems by Rabei Benkiran and pastels by Sandrine Vergnères. This project was born last March when the Covid-19 pandemic imposed confinement on the world. Locked in his home, Rabei Benkiran thus created his own springtime by writing a series of poems in which he evokes and summons floral bouquets, as described by Hakima Lebbar, director of the Fan-Dok gallery, in a press release.
“When I read Rabei’s poems, I liked them very much. They were written in a very colorful way and I immediately imagined them in painting, she continued. I then thought of Sandrine Vergneres, a very sensitive artist with a delicate work mainly of oil pastels.»
Sandrine Vergneres is a French painter who lives between the south of France and Morocco, whom she is very fond of. She has carried out numerous exhibitions in both countries, notably, pastels on artisans and the alleys of the Medina of Fez as well as work on the seasons of Cipières. The “Fleurs en prose” exhibition will only last a few days as a new presentation/exhibition is planned at the Fouart gallery in Paris.
