They arrived on a boat, Sunday, July 19, in Tanger Med. 1,200 Moroccan seasonal workers working in strawberry picking in Huelva were stranded in Spain since the borders closed following the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).
1,200 Moroccan seasonal workers arrived on Sunday, July 19, at the port of Tanger Med. The expected repatriation is ongoing of a total of 7,100 Moroccan seasonal workers from Huelva employed in the framework of the circular migration program between Morocco and Spain.
All the necessary logistical and human resources were thus put in place for the success of this operation in which the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity participated. All the sanitary measures in force have also been respected, such as carrying out PCR and serological tests, thus fulfilling the conditions necessary for their entry into Morocco.
