The Ambassador of Morocco to Colombia and Ecuador, Farida Loudaya, received the distinction of Commander of the Order of Democratic Merit by the Colombian Senate, because of her role in consolidating relations between the two countries.

Commander, this is the decoration given to the Ambassador of Morocco in Colombia and Ecuador, Farida Loudaya, by the Colombian Senate. At a ceremony held on June 19 in the Parliament of Bogotá, Iván Leónidas Name Vásquez, President of the External Relations Commission of the Upper House of Congress, hailed Farida Loudaya’s action for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.

An honorable distinction for the Ambassador which is also an acknowledgment of the Kingdom’s role as an important regional player in the harmonization of the Arab World and Africa with Latin America, as in particular explained Iván Leónidas Name Vásquez, welcoming at the same time the commitment of Morocco in favor of South-South cooperation, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.

Bilateral cooperation relations have in recent years enjoyed a positive dynamic in the political, economic and cultural spheres, insisted Farida Loudaya, adding that the celebration, in 2019, of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries will also be a new impetus for bilateral cooperation.
