Eunice Gayson, first James Bond girl died at age 90

The very first James Bond girl who played alongside Sean Connery in 1962 died on Friday, June 8. British comedian Eunice Gayson passed awat at the age of 90.

A Twitter account dedicated to the actress, announced the news on social networks with these words “We are very sad to learn that our dear Eunice passed away on June 8th.(…)  She will be very much missed. ”

In her role as Sylvia Trench, in the movie “James Bond 007 vs. Dr No”, Eunice Gayson helped create one of the most prominent catchphrases in the world of cinema, reports BBC News. It was in a joint scene in a casino, that Sean Connery uttered the famous “Bond … James Bond.”

– “I admire your courage, Miss, …?”

– “Trench, Sylvia Trench. I admire your luck, Mr …? ”

– “Bond, James Bond.”
