ESAV launches its annual workshop ‘CréAteliers’

Written by FDM

Since 2016 and at each start of the school year, the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech (ESAV) organizes CréAteliers. A workshop of which the main aim is to familiarize students with artistic projects regardless of their choice of major (cinema, graphics). This three-week session runs from October 9 to 30.

With the aim of facilitating the integration of students, while favoring teamwork, the mix of disciplines, and to encourage transdisciplinarity, the CréAteliers workshop is organized this year under the theme Échappée Belle.

The CréAteliers also aim to allow the art school students to explore different creative processes while limiting as much as possible the use of tools or instruments. Thus, during this workshop, the students go through, in a collective spirit, all the stages of the development of an artistic project: conception, realization, and presentation to the public.

This year, 4 artists from different disciplines will mentor and support the students. For dance and choreography: Taoufiq Izediou; for the arts: Sybille Blatzer; For writing: Fedwa Misk and for music and sound creation: Abdellah M. Hassak. The restitution of the work will be filmed and will be the subject of a digital event broadcast online during the month of November.
