“Entre peinture et poésie” is the title of the artist Mohamed Mourabiti’s exhibition exposed from October 10 at the gallery of the French Institute of Rabat. A series of works made according to the texts of the poets Adonis, Anne Rothschild, Mostafa Nissabouri, Ali Hajji, Mohamed Bennis, Abdelhak Serhane, Michel Butor, Bernard Christmas. Some of these artists will be present at a round table on October 11 at 6:30 pm at the French Institute in Rabat.
Mohamed Mourabiti is a self-taught artist who has exhibited in many countries, and who has also founded the cultural festival Al Haouz and art space “Al Maqâm” in Tahannaout, a place for cultural and artistic encounters.
For the artist, exchanging is a vital necessity, as the Institute puts it in a statement, stating that the meetings between Mourabiti and great intellectuals and writers have thus given these fertile artistic dialogues, wether with the French writer and poet Bernard Noel, the Arabic-speaking poet Mohammed Bennis, the writer Abdelhak Serhane, the poet Nissabouri or the Syrian poet Adonis. A wonderful echo game between painting and writing to discover until November 18 in Rabat.
